"subject to paragraph (3), apply to the
21 operation of such a program from State funds
22 an amount equivalent to the portion of State
23 funds derived from State premium assessments"

What are State premium assessments? In other words, how will the states pay for this?

It's a light version of the dem bill. For w/e parts the do require funding it will come out of the tax revenue. It's a stupid bill, if one wants the version of dem healthcare reform they would vote for the dem bill. GOP needs to present a real alternative.

I'd really like to know the answer to this. Medicade is a system dumped on the states by the Feds. It really wasn't funded properly. Seniors end up being raped out of their life's savings to pay to stay alive in prison-like conditions.
