"PART - 2 (PART - 1 continued) The goal is to take the party back to it's conservative roots. To that end I support a very simple platform of: small, Constitutional government, fiscal conservatism, and personal Liberty; that and no more. We've had some luck with gentle education of the local party about the DI and Constitution. Let them know your are there to work with them and for your country. They know there is a problem. The strategy is to become part of the process of the election of the party officers. To do that may become a Precinct Committeeman / Chairman / Captain / or whatever it is called in your state. There are other delegates as well but in our state a PC is automatically a delegate to the caucuses. This strategy WILL work! I discovered it independently of the above group. I joined the party in Feb 2009 and became a PC. I have been a delegate to a Congressional District caucus where we elected the CD Chairman, etc. and a delegate to the state caucus where we elected state officers. We came really close to electing our candidate for state chairman! I figured out the system after the first caucus and became a School-District chair (17 precinct under me .... leverage). In a caucus the vote of the number of delegates present is proportioned to the number of votes allotted to the group. Thus, if ALL vacant seats were filled by "like-minded" delegates in ALL the represented groups then the choice of officers is ours to make! The same is true of the state and, I presume, the national. "All politics are local"! That is where the restoration of the party begins; it is the only place that it can! Tea Parties are great if they get people involved and active and help to create a burning desire to restore our Republic. They must then go to the next step and join a party that many may hate; this is the only way it will happen without invoking 2A. The sites mentioned above are only a tool for you to use; it is YOU who must stand and be counted (literally)."
